Our Team

Leadership from Three Generations of Wisconsin Contractors.

The people behind every WIL-Surge project, from preconstruction to closeout.

Leadership Team

WIL-Surge Electric is a family-owned and operated contractor, now in its third generation. Since 1993, the family has led the company with the same standard it asks of every crew: respect, integrity, and teamwork. Read more about our story.

Field Leadership

Licensed master electricians and DSPS-credentialed journeymen lead our in-house crews across 17 electrical, mechanical, and civil trades. They run the work on site, working out of our own fleet, and bring apprentices up through the trade alongside them.

Estimating & Preconstruction

Tyler manages projects and prepares estimates for commercial work, so the person who prices your scope understands how it gets built. A real estimator reviews every request and calls with clarifying questions within one business day.

From Estimate to Closeout

On a commercial project, the handoff between the people who price the work and the people who build it is where details tend to get lost. Putting project management and estimating in the same role keeps that handoff short: the assumptions behind the number, including phasing, site access, and coordination with other trades, carry straight into the plan the field crews work from.

On site, master electricians and journeymen run the work day to day and coordinate with general contractors and the other trades. Because every trade we self-perform is staffed by our own crews working out of our own fleet, questions about schedule or scope go to people who answer to the same company, and our in-house BIM specialists help resolve coordination issues before they reach the jobsite. The same team then carries the work through closeout.

For general contractors, that structure keeps communication simple. Bid questions, scope clarifications, and schedule updates each have a clear owner, and the answers come from people who know both the estimate and the field conditions behind it. It is the same accountability chain we offer across every trade: one schedule, one point of contact, and quality that stays ours to own.

Building the Next Generation of Tradespeople

A family business in its third generation plans for the long term, and that includes its crews. Our structured apprenticeship and paid training take people from helper to journeyman to leader. Apprentices log their hours on real commercial projects alongside licensed journeymen and master electricians, learning how the work is planned and coordinated as well as how it is installed.

Training continues past the license. Working across 17 electrical, mechanical, and civil trades gives our people room to keep adding skills, and NFPA 70E training and regular toolbox talks keep safety part of every crew's routine. For owners and general contractors, that means the people on your project were trained by the same company that stands behind the work.
