Learn about Underground Utilities

Our Services.

Mechanical crews coordinate HVAC equipment and mechanical systems with the electrical build, so ductwork and conduit routes align before installation. Underground utility work covers trenching, conduit installation, directional boring, and hydro excavation, while earthwork and grading prepare each property before vertical work starts. Concrete crews pour foundations and transformer pads for substations, switchgear, and mechanical equipment, and select demolition clears existing spaces ahead of new construction.

Who We Are

Why GCs Prefer WIL-Surge.

Wisconsin builders choose a self-perform contractor for tighter schedules, fewer handoffs, and single-source accountability. Our crews carry every trade, electrical, low-voltage, civil, and mechanical, so workmanship standards stay consistent from underground utilities to final terminations. Owners sign one contract, follow one change-order process, and work with one point of contact from preconstruction to closeout.

Founded in 1993, WIL-Surge Electric is a family-owned, third-generation Wisconsin contractor. Family leadership keeps decisions fast and commitments local: the same family name that started the business in 1993 signs the contracts today. We hold Wisconsin electrical contractor license #1103087-EC and HVAC contractor license #1029-HVACCONT, our crews are led by DSPS-credentialed master electricians and journeymen, and we have remained licensed, bonded, and insured since 1993.

Crews work under a safety-first program built on NFPA 70E standards. Done right the first time. See what builders say.
